RDP B92

  "Our vision is to be a flexible organization, which is able of reacting quickly to changes around us and responsibly communicating with a social community we work and broadcast program in".   

Radio B92 was founded in 1989. During the 90s it expanded its activity to publishing, culture, internet and film/video production, which in time became the core of TV B92 initiated in September 2000. The company currently has 450 employees.For projects of corporative social responsibility and non-profit cultural activity, RDP B92 founded "Fond B92". They carried out numerous campaigns and actions from the area of education, culture and art, social care, local economic development, health and security, sport and environment. It is the winner of the main Virtus Corporate Philanthropy Award 2007, and awards for campaigns "The Women's Safe House" and "Give blood" as well as special awards for media contribution to sensitize public opinion to family violence. In May 2008, RTV B92 initiated a humanitarian activity of collecting funds for the purchase of the first portable mammography unit, which is important for early diagnosis of breast cancer. The action shall raise awareness of the importance of regular examinations and timely detection of this illness.

 

ERSTE Bank

  "Erste Bank pays special attention to a sponsorship and donation program.  It is a part of tradition and historic mission of Erste Bank. We believe companies shall harmonize economic and social objectives as they so contribute to the improvement of the quality of life and operations of people in communities they act in".

Erste Bank in Serbia is a part of "Erste Bank Group", one of leading financial institutions in Middle and Eastern Europe. It has been present in Serbia since the middle of 2005. In October 2007, the bank had 957 employees."Erste Foundation", the biggest individual shareholder of "Erste Bank" from Vienna active also at the territory of Serbia, is focused on the implementation of the program "Social Issues", "Culture" and "Europe". These programs are devoted to issues of social cohesion, cultural development and history as well as challenges in the Process of the EU Enlargement. The sponsorship and donation program of Erste Bank is primarily directed to areas of culture and local economic development, social care and environment. "Erste Bank a.d. Novi Sad" is the winner of Award for Support for the Most Innovative Project of 2007 - "Avantura Cooltura". This year, Erste Bank is planning to initiate an employee volunteer program in the local community.

 

Holcim (Serbia) a.d.  

"Our dedication to sustainable development and corporate social responsibility is reflected in the Policy of Social Responsibility of Holcim (Serbia) a.d. We have undertaken to work together with all our strategic partners on building up and maintaining relations of mutual trust and respect. Our aim is to contribute to the improvement of the quality of lives of our employees, their families and communities around our plant."

Since 2002, Holcim (Serbia) a.d. has been a part of the international Holcim Ltd. Group", one of the world's leading producers of cement, asphalt aggregates and concrete. In September 2007, the company had 458 employees. "Holcim Foundation for Sustainable Building" affirms innovative approaches to sustainable building through regional and global competitions and awards and through the international Forum. Holcim gives a great importance to the preservation of environment and natural resources and it has a formulated policy of environmental protection, which it implements in all segments of its operation. Apart from that, the company is the pivot of development of the local community in which it realizes and supports projects from the area of education, infrastructure, culture and art, social care, health and security. It is the winner of Virtus Award for Contribution to the Local Community, for many-year support to young talents, development of local NGO capacities, building of sustainable infrastructure and support to development of employees. This year, the company adopted the Strategy of Corporate Social Responsibility and announced a competition "Partnership for Future" intending to support projects in the function of development in the area of education, culture, sustainable development at the territory of the Municipality of Paracin. 

 

Lafarge BFC  

"We want Lafarge BFC to be the undisputable leader of the cement industry in Serbia, creating value for all, investing in its people and contributing to development of local communities", Kamil Beffa, CEO, overtaken from SIEPA  website.

  "Lafarge BFC" is the oldest cement factory in the Balkans founded in 1839. In 2002, the factory was overtaken from "Lafarge Group" - the largest producer of building materials in the world. At the end of 2006, "Lafarge BFC" had 811 employees. The company has a developed policy of environmental protection and a strategy for sustainable development in keeping with which it estimates the influence, measurements and periodical revisions of the environmental development policy. Apart from that, Lafarge gives a great support to local economic development through programs directed at encouraging local business initiative and attracting investors as well as projects from the area of infrastructure, education and social care.  Moreover, the company has a social program for co-financing projects of local self-governance. 

 

Philip Morris International

  "Companies do not operate in isolation; they depend on their surrounding and affect it. Therefore, they invest in long-lasting improvement of the community they are a part of: if a community is improved, the company will be improved as well".   

The first tobacco factory in Serbia, later known as DIN, was founded in 1885. DIN " "Fabrika duvana a.d." Nis was privatized in 2003 and it is the majority ownership of "Philip Morris Holland Holdings B.V.". At the end of 2006, the company had 920 employees. Apart from the humanitarian help and periodical donations, the company gives a support to development of local education, sport and culture. Over the past two years, DIN has concluded several contracts with universities in Nis and Belgrade for the purpose of improving the work of universities, and since 2004 in cooperation with Institute of International Education (IIE) in Nis, it has been supporting the realization of the program "Partnership for Education and Development of Community".

 

Coca-Cola Hellenic

  "Coca-Cola Hellenic" is aware of cooperation with state and other institutions for the purpose of building partnership and enrich the life of the local community. Not only does the company respond to request, but it also has a proactive role in spotting needs of the community by which a partnership relation is built". 

The state company "Slovin" received in 1967 the license from the company "Coca-Cola" to produce and sell its products in Yugoslavia. The company was privatized in 1997 when the company "Balkaninvest Ltd Nicosia", a part of "HBC Group" acquired a majority ownership. At the end of 2007, the company had 970 employees. "Coca-Cola Hellenic" has identified key influences of its operation on environment and set mechanisms for constant reduction of natural resources consumption with clearly defined long-term and short-term specific objectives. Apart from continuous development and improvement of systems for environmental protection, the company is devoted to care of the community. During 2005, it founded the Volunteer Club and within "Days of Good Will" the employees of the company every year help socially and health jeopardized children.  "Coca-Cola Hellenic" gives support to various cultural and sport manifestations, education of young talents, it donates health institutions, churches and monasteries and poor categories of citizenship, and since 2005 it has been a partner to Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management, Republic Directorate for Water and International Commission for the Protection of the Danube River in a huge media campaign for the preservation of the River Danube and in the organization of a huge number of events within the manifestation the Danube Day.

  

British American Tobacco  

"Our companies are important factors in many communities they operate in. We understand that our companies as corporative citizens in these communities have a role to invest in local economic, social and cultural development and that both sides have an interest of it".

"British American Tobacco" has been present in Serbia since 1996, and in 2003 it became a majority ownership of Tobacco Industry Vranje. Today, it employs about 500 employees.The company is directed to economic development of the community inciting it through various programs - from improving knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs and inciting entrepreneurial skills of the unemployed up to awarding and promoting small enterprises from Vranje. In 2006, it founded "Volunteering Day" within the program of volunteering engagement of employees and it traditionally invests in health protection, education, culture and infrastructural projects of the Municipality of Vranje.

 

US Steel Serbia  

Company U. S. Steel Serbia is a part of the corporation United States Steel the headquarters of which is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. We are a well-known producer of steel, and our products are exported to over 60 countries all over the world.  U.S. Steel Serbia has been the biggest importer in Serbia over the past five years. Our employees are our biggest value. Owing to constant improvement and development of the company,  U.S. Steel Serbia goes by huge steps towards a leading position in steel production in this part of Europe. Apart from the support it gives to economic progress in regions of Smederevo, Sabac and Kucevo and the whole country as well, U.S. Steel Serbia is also an active and responsible citizen. Through various projects we are active in areas such as health service, education, culture, development of the young and sport.  We are a company devoted to philanthropic work of the founder of U.S. Steel - Andrew Carnegie.   

  

 PricewaterhouseCoopers  

PricewaterhouseCoopers is a global organization for providing professional services and it employs over 146,000 people in its 776 offices in 150 countries all over the world. PwC provides services in various domains of operations such as: auditing services, services of tax and legal consulting and corporate risks management. In Serbia, PwC has been constantly operating since 2001. At this moment, out team numbers about 150 employees and it consists of domestic and foreign experts with affluent experience and supreme knowledge. We are one of founders of Foreign Investors Council in Serbia and an active participant in the process of economic opening of Serbia towards the world. In the area of corporate social responsibility, we proudly point out our Code of Ethical Behaviour  which all employees in the company stick to. In that way, we contribute to the creation of business climate in Serbia based on ethical principles. We invest significant funds in additional education of our employees and their improvement and we see it as an important decision of a socially responsible company. We are included in the promotion of corporate social responsibility and through the participation in the work of  jury for giving awards for corporative philanthropy "Virtus". We have helped and we still do numerous organizations and individuals who need the help, but we will not talk about it this time. Those funds are  donations of our company but also our employees who take an active part in all our CSR activities. We think that CSR activities are our human obligation and not an opportunity for the promotion of the company. This time we want to draw attention to one group of people who need help. Namely, it is a camp for dislocated people Radinac near Smederevo  in whose non-conditions huts about 600 dislocated people from Kosovo and Metohija are currently situated. Almost a half of them (285) are children younger than 18. It is our strong desire to help them and return them a hope in better life. We are inviting all those who can to help these people.

 

KMPG International

 "PMG International" is a global network of companies dealing with providing services from the area of auditing, tax and financial consulting. The company "KPMG d.o.o" Belgrade was founded in 1996 and today it has 154 employees.

Over the past years, KPMG has given a support to education through the cooperation with Faculty of Economics in Belgrade, Faculty of Organizational Sciences and an international association of students in economics AIESEC. In 2006, the company donated financial funds for the work of Red Cross of Serbia and for the reconstruction of Zindan Gate at Kalemegdan. Within its activities at the promotion of corporate social responsibility, this year KPMG Serbia initiated CSR campaign under the name "Unite the world - share responsibility". The campaign is visually identified by four basic, natural elements: air, water, earth and fire. Four basic elements are related to four seasons in which the allocation of donations for four focus groups are planned. The project with which CSR campaign "Unite the world - share responsibility" started is related to the natural element - earth and it was realized last summer by the donation to the largest center for the care of old people in the Balkans, Gerontology Center in Belgrade in Bezanijska Kosa by the reconstruction of the amphitheater in the park of the center. What makes KPMG CSR actions different is the participation of employees. Apart from this campaign, KPMG helped the maintenance and celebration of the jubilee (10 years) of Paraplegia Rally in Cacak.

 

Vip mobile d.o.o.

Vip mobile d.o.o. is a private mobile operator and member of mobilkom austria group, a leading mobile operator at the territory of Central and Eastern Europe. Vip mobile became the owner of the third licenses for a mobile operator in Serbia on December 2006, and started working officially in July 2007.  In November last year, Vip mobile initiated CSR project "Be Vip Student"  intended for further improvement of future experts and leaders in the telecommunications market in Serbia. The project was supported by Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Society and all universities whose students had a right to participate in this project. Twenty chosen scholars were awarded by paid scholarship for the first year of academic studies for diploma degree at basic faculty, two-month summer practice in the company Vip mobile, visit to the head office of mobilkom austria group in Vienna and Vip SIM cards and telephones. Total project fund of 100,000 EUR confirmed long-lasting Vip mobile devotedness to this market, and the project will be continued this year, too. Through sponsorships and donations, the company also supports activities from the area of sport and culture, and over the past year it has supported the campaign "Imagine Life - Is there Anybody Young Here" organized by  the Ministry of Youth and Sport and organizations of civil sector for passing National Youth Strategy, and the company Caritas and UNICEF for the help to children with special needs.

 

Droga Kolinska Group   

Droga Kolinska Group is one of the biggest regional companies for the production and distribution of food products. Droga Kolinska supports, develops and takes cares about all that can have positive effects on the quality of life. The company is ready and it takes part in the creation of wider social cohabitation and overtakes a responsibility for the environment it operates in. Therefore, care about employees, business partners, local community and a contribution to the improvement of general quality of life are a part of business philosophy and everyday of the whole Group. Droga Kolinska Group with its members Droga Kolinska, Grand Prom and Soko Stark promotes social engagement and cooperation and helps educational, cultural and social development. Long-lasting and active support of Société Générale Serbia is seen in various activities of the bank in the area of culture, sport and education. Through all its activities, Société Générale Serbia is mainly directed to young talents by transmitting values of society to younger generations. Apart from that, the Bank is also devoted to social care through long-term sponsorship to "Center for the protection of infants, children and juveniles" in Zvecanska Street, then to a non-governmental organization "Mali Veliki Ljudi", "Food Bank" and support to the activity of the Fund Nj.K.V. princes Katarina.

 

Henkel Merima

Henkel is one of globally most important groups of companies with a large palette of products. The spectrum of products of the company includes detergents and  products of home chemistry, cosmetics and products for body care, building glues and glues for industrial and production systems. Company Henkel came to Serbian market in 2002, and today within the company Henkel Merima in Serbia operate: factory of powder detergents, factory of liquid detergents, factory of soaps and two factories of building adhesives (one in Krusevac and one in Indjija).  

The vision of the company Henkel is to be a leader with brands and technologies, which make people's life better and nicer and they are known as superior due to constant innovation and modernization. Communication with customers is active and open and in that way the tradition of family company devoted to sustainability and corporative responsibility towards a social community is preserved. Moreover, as to a socially responsible company, the protection of environment and health has been a priority number one for decades. Safety,  environmental protection, responsible utilization of natural resources, minimal waste emissions and controlled water consumption are the main priorities, which determine the development of new production processes.  Company Henkel is also devoted to fulfillment of obligations it has towards society by giving a strong support to various social, ecological, cultural, scientific and humanitarian activities. Over the past period,  through the program Henkel Smile, the company Henkel has supported activities of the association of parents of children with special needs "Right to Smile" and donation was also given to one of the most important institutions in our country - Institute for Mother and Child in Belgrade. Through the program Henkel Smile, the company Henkel has been helping the work of the organization "Mali Veliki Ljudi" and their center for handicapped people in the accommodation of the monastery St. Petka near Paracin. Apart from that, recently the company Henkel has donated an ambulance vehicle to Health Center Krusevac, and significant help was given to Krusevac-based theatre and a basketball club Napredak from this town as well. During the summer, through the program Henkel Smile the company Henkel will realize the project of support to special school Veselin Nikolic in Krusevac.
