Responsible Business Initiative, introduced in 2004 in cooperation with the Fund for an Open Society in Serbia (FOSS) and the Economic Chamber of Serbia, was founded with the idea to inspire, institutionalize and put into practice the concept of corporate social responsibility of Serbian companies, as well as to instigate and develop new aspects of cross-sector cooperation with the aim of creating a perspective for sustainable progress of communities, civil initiatives and the civil society.
This initiative has gathered individuals, companies and associations from Serbia and abroad, some international organizations, local industry branches and the representatives of all the sectors responsible for social progress who, through their engagement and support, wish to highlight the corporate social responsibility as the crucial, and possibly only sustainable strategy, both in the domain of successful business planning and increased competition and in the domain of the sustainable development of the community and the society as a whole.
