In early 2007, the Institute for Sustainable Communities announced a competition for allocation of Advocacy in Practice (AIP) grants to different civil society organisations. Through AIP grants civil society organisations will be developing various activities in advocacy and campaigning focused on promoting civil society and civil activism in Serbia.
Out of all the submitted applications, in early June 2007, fourteen civil society organisations have been selected as future AIP grant recipients.
SMart Kolektiv will, in cooperation with partner organisations, provide technical assistance to grant recipients in further development of the activities proposed in their respective projects. In addition, grant recipients will be provided with assistance in the development of their communication strategies, including the drafting of 6-to-12-month time frame for specific activities.
