Citizens can ! - Civil Society Advocacy Initiative(CSAI)
SMart Kolektiv is a partner of the Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) in the realisation of five-year project entitled "Civil Society Advocacy Initiative" (CSAI), supported by USAID.
The main objective of this programme is to better motivate the citizens of Serbia and encourage their larger engagement in shaping their own future and the future of their country as well as more active participation in solving the problems that are of the utmost importance to them. In this respect, civil society organisations need to get closer to the citizens and improve their reputation, particularly in Serbia where the perception of civil society organisations is generally negative. Therefore, efforts will be made to create conditions in which civil society organisations should be recognised as reliable partners and desirable forms of associations through which public interest may be looked after.
SMart Kolektiv, as an organisation specialised in social marketing, has a multifold role in the realisation of this programme, particularly in designing national communication campaign for repositioning of civil society organisations in Serbia. As part of this programme, SMart Kolektiv is developing activities and projects which are focused on sensitisation and establishment of strategic and systemic cooperation with media representatives in order to ensure more publicity in the media for issues dealt by the civil sector as well as to raise awareness of the public and advance the level of information on important problems and challenges that our society is facing.
